This past Sunday I was asked to photograph a road rally for the Smart Center in Englewood, NJ This was the first experience I have ever had with a road rally and it was a blast! The dealer invited anyone that purchased a smart car from them to join in this trip. All together, 30 cars turned out and it was quite an experience. We got tons of attention everywhere we went. I guess it’s still such a novelty to see one of these cars traveling down the road next to huge SUV’s. It seems that 30 of them was way too crazy! People along the way asked “where the hell were all those smart cars going?” Hysterical!!
We stopped four times, providing many photo opportunities. As great as each stop was, the most exiting photo op was not a stop at all. Actually it was at about 60 mph, hanging out the window as we drove down the parkway! The resulting shot is below and it turned out to be one of my favorites from the day. Glad I didn’t drop my camera : ) Enjoy!
Joanna is by far the luckiest bride ever. Did you notice the weather for the week leading up to Feb 7th. It started at 14 degrees and climbed all the way up to 48, that’s amazing. Although I should say that Joanna planned on taking photos outdoors “no matter what.”
The house and church were both in the Bronx and that usually means we find a park near that but the reception was in long island and that opened up hundreds of options. We settled on the base of the Whitestone bridge. The park is Francis Lewis Park and it is awesome. It gives us spectacular backgrounds and a real urban edge. The great weather and park location made this an absolutely perfect day. I’m so happy for Joanna and Ed they are a wonderful couple! p.s. thanks Calista for giving Joanna my card!
I don’t claim to be a videographer by any means, but occasionally I will shoot a little video!
My friend, Viviane Bauquet Farre, is the most amazing chef. We have worked together on all sorts of projects; the most recent was a cookbook that V is shopping right now, and my photo graces the cover! During that photo shoot she asked if I ever shot video? No. But I’m sure I can wing it : )
Honestly the first few videos, I danced around the camera until I felt really comfortable. Now I am an old pro.
So much so, that I wanted to share it with all of you! If you’re interested in seeing some of my photos and some great recipes check out vivians site.
I was unable to find a space that I absolutely loved in Irvington so I’m staying in Bronxville. For now!
I decided to redecorate. Yes, I know how that sounds.
I’m moving some furniture and wallpapering a wall, so which sample do you like? Poll below…
I swear if one more of my friends tells me to join. I got sick of hearing how great it is, now I’ll have to see for myself. Alright I want lots of friend requests. I’m not kidding click here for my profile page!
And You know the rules no posts without a photo. These are Catherine’s barbie’s from when she was a kid. (I swear they’re not mine) G is obsessed with them right now. Cath likes them because they are not as slutty as the new barbie’s. I don’t see a difference, she says its something in the eyes.
