Anthony and I decided to spend the day yesterday checking out some locations to shoot engagements and stuff. Originally it was going to be a simple thing and then Anthony had the idea to get someone to put their wedding dress back on and it kinda snowballed into this huge thing. We asked a good friend who is a make up artist, Angela Civale, if she could help us and of course she made herself available. (if anyone need and awesome make up artist shoot me an email I have her contact info.) After that I mentioned to Dave from moving pictures what we were doing and he offered to come and shoot a little promo video for anthony. So this little scouting trip turned into an outright photo shoot. Here are some of my favorites fron the day.
Oh yeah and I got to relive my days as an assistant, Anthony was lead camera on this shoot I was the reflector boy : )
Here are some of my favorites let us know what you think! Anthony loves comments!
One more thing, thanks to Chrissy, our very cooperative model. Like our brides, she didn’t question any crazy spot we asked her to stand in.
I was lucky this year with no weddings on easter weekend so I got to spend both days with family.
Saturday was a big day at my mothers she was making homemade pasta for Sunday and Gretchen got to help.
There is something about that board the pasta machine is attached to that brings me right back to the 80’s. Its the same piece of wood and same pasta machine that my grandmother used to make the “macaroni” for easter dinner. I was taken by the moment watching gretchen helping just like I did. Ahhh memories!
Easter morning was spent at home and then we headed over to my mother in laws for dinner. This is the girls in there easter shirts which is a white tank top (AKA the easter beater!) that catherine added some handmade flowers to. She used scraps of fabric that she had leftover from the dresses she made for the girls. My kids are so serious, whats that about?
Stella attacked me while I was sleeping in the grass.
The way catherine and the girls colored these easter eggs was so clever. She boiled spices, frozen blueberries and a beet. What, no little colored tablets that turn your hands and entire house colors?Read More...
Kerrie and I shot these tonight in Battery Park City right near the World Trade Center site.
After getting kicked out by the security guards we snuck back in for just a few more.
The season is under way, man that was quick winter break.
This is part one of a two part engagement session. Stay tuned for the more edgy version of mark and sue!Read More...
Gretchen has entered the “I dont want to be photographed stage” so here are some shots of weenie (stella).
She is really starting to look just like her mama!
Oh – how cool are her little chucks?
